Fostering events

No two children are the same and there are many different types of fostering and foster carers. If you are interested in fostering a local child, a great place to start is by talking to us. All local children who need a foster family come to our team and we need more foster carers like you.

We usually hold monthly information evenings, frequent drop-in events and attend local annual shows such as the popular Balloon Fiesta.  During the coronavirus pandemic, we are following Public Health and government guidelines and have cancelled all non-essential face-to-face gatherings and events.

In the meantime, to find out how you could begin to make a difference to a local child's life and enjoy a rewarding career as a foster carer, please contact us by telephone on 01952 387387 or email Alternatively, you can complete our online enquiry form and we will contact you.

Find out more about fostering for Telford & Wrekin Council, the varied excellent local training we offer and the exceptional support we give to our foster carers.

Find out about the process of becoming a foster carer from one of our existing carers and have your questions answered, we would be happy to put you in contact by telephone.

Skills to Foster training usually runs over three consecutive Saturdays. We will be offering online training during the pandemic and are reviewing the situation daily.  Don’t delay if you are ready to make a difference to a child’s life and yours this year. Please contact us by completing our online enquiry form or call 01952 387387.
