Fostering events

We host a variety of local events across the borough that are easy for our foster carers to access to find out information, have a chat with our team and connect with other foster carers.

We also offer training events to prepare you for fostering and to support you through your journey as a foster carer. Fostering Information events

Join us for a short presentation about fostering with Telford & Wrekin Council. Don't miss out on this valuable opportunity to gain insight and knowledge about fostering.

Drop-in events

No booking necessary, just drop-in and meet one of our friendly fostering team at venues around our region for an informal chat, to ask questions, and collect an information pack.

Skills to Foster training course

Skills to Foster training is an opportunity to find out more about fostering and is designed to prepare you for the role of fostering before you apply.

We will have an intial conversation with you and arrange to visit your home before you start the course, to answer any questions you may have.

Course location

A central location in Telford.

Course duration

We deliver Skills to Foster training in person over:

two consecutive Saturdays between 9am and 2pm
or two consecutive weekdays between 9.30am and 2.30pm.

Please note you need to attend both daytime events. If you are applying as a couple, you will both need to attend all sessions.
